What is Generalized Anxiety?

      Everyone has at one point been put in a situation that has triggered a feeling of anxiety. But for some people, that "feeling" is an everyday matter that results in a life occupied with troublesome fears.       Generalized anxiety is a form of anxiety that results in uneasy feelings and "excessive worry" (Anxiety And Depression Association of America). Specialized therapist, Denise Hardy, describes the disorder as "An anxiety that has migrated from 'a normal upset response to unpleasant events' to 'a way of life'." It is completely normal to be nervous for the many curves life throws, but Generalized Anxiety never goes away. It lingers in the mind, destroying all comfort and contentment.
